Located in Maryland, Olde Towne Piano Shop, is owned and operated by piano craftsman, Theodore H. Snyder, RPT. He and his skilled technicians and support staff's goal is to provide the finest in any kind or type of piano repair, rebuilding or restoration, treating each instrument with special care.
Types of repairs done in the shop are: smoke and water damage, refinishing, pinblock replacement, restringing, action parts replacement, touchweight analysis, hammer installation, key rebushing and resurfacing, soundboard and bridge restoration or replacemant. A complete written appraisal or estimates of repairs for insurance claims or age deterioration, as well as, consultations are available for hire.
To insure the highest quality of your restored instrument, we use the finest parts in the world, such as Roslau, Renner, Mapes, Diamond, Immedegawa, Steinway, Bolduc, Abel.
An accomplished musician before becoming a Registered Piano Technician "Ted" Snyder, a member of the Piano Technicians Guild, Washington D.C. Chapter, has a passion for perfection, particularly when he rebuilds a fine piano of worn, damaged or deteriorated parts. His expertise on any action regulation and voicing is renowned.
